Frequently asked questions

TradeStream, answered.

Straight answers about what TradeStream is, how it captures a missed call, what it costs, and how it fits with the tools you already use. Still not sure? A real person, Nathan, replies to every enquiry.

What is TradeStream?

TradeStream is an Australian lead-capture system for trade businesses. It answers every enquiry in seconds, captures the whole job with photos, and follows up automatically so tradies stop losing work they never knew they had. It is built for Australian trades such as electricians, plumbers, roller and garage door installers, HVAC, solar and carpenters.

How does TradeStream capture a missed call?

When a call is missed, TradeStream automatically texts the caller a branded link that invites them to describe the job. The customer taps through a short, trade-specific set of questions and can add photos, so the enquiry is captured instead of lost to voicemail. The finished job then lands in the tradie's lead pipeline, ready to call back.

What does the customer see when they enquire?

The customer receives a text with a branded link and taps through a short series of questions built for that trade. They describe the job in their own words, answer a few quick prompts, and can attach photos, all on their phone without installing anything. It looks and feels like it comes from the tradie's own business, not a third party.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every new TradeStream business gets 14 days free, covering up to 50 captured leads, with 250 SMS and 300 Ash AI assessments to work them. There is no card up front and no lock-in, and everything captured during the trial stays yours. If you reach a limit we never drop a customer enquiry, we simply let you know and talk about the right plan.

How much does TradeStream cost?

Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, up to 50 captured leads, with no card up front and no lock-in. After the trial, TradeStream starts at $65 per week for the founding Launch Partner plan, which includes the full Growth system and a free website normally worth $1,499. The standard plans are Signature at $79 per week and Growth at $99 per week, with no setup fee on any plan. Prices are in Australian dollars, ex GST, and are billed monthly.

Is TradeStream an answering service or AI receptionist?

No. TradeStream is a lead-capture system, not an answering service or AI receptionist, and no robot ever answers the phone. The customer always deals with the tradie's own brand, while the AI works quietly in the background after the enquiry comes in, structuring the lead so the tradie can call back faster and better informed.

Do my customers need to download an app?

No. Customers do not need to download anything. They tap a link in a text message and describe the job straight from their phone browser, including photos, with nothing to install.

How is TradeStream different from a missed-call text service?

A basic missed-call text just tells the customer you missed them; TradeStream captures the entire job. It walks the customer through trade-specific questions and photos, runs the answers through its AI, scores how quote-ready the lead is, and keeps following up automatically until the job is booked.

What is Ash, the AI lead assistant?

Ash is the AI lead assistant built into every TradeStream account. Ash reads each submission and its photos and hands back the likely cause, safety flags, questions worth asking and probable parts before you have even called back. Because the assessment is built for your specific trade, a roller-door enquiry reads differently from a plumbing one, and Ash can read job descriptions written in dozens of languages.

What trades is TradeStream for?

TradeStream is built for Australian trade businesses. It supports trades including electrical, plumbing, roller and garage doors, HVAC and air conditioning, solar, carpentry and handyman work, with the capture questions and AI assessment tailored to each trade. Businesses of any size can get set up and start capturing leads quickly.

Who is behind TradeStream and where is it based?

TradeStream is an Australian company, TradeStream Solutions, and is Australian made. Enquiries are handled personally by Nathan, who usually calls back the same day. A real person always replies, never a bot.
